Court Alchemists

The Court Alchemists are the Mad Vizier’s hand-picked corps of magical assistants — members of our community who were granted the rights to use our digital files to 3D print a copy of the game for themselves. It’s theirs to play and enjoy, in exchange for helping with our publicity efforts.

If you’d like a demo of Cubyria and are not planning on going to any game conventions this year, you may be in luck — there might be a Court Alchemist nearby who would be willing to show you how it works! Get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.

We’re not gonna lie. The numbers are telling us our margins are going to be tight, which means for Cubyria to succeed we’ll need a big Kickstarter. We’ve seen enough excitement for the game that we know we can do it if we find our audience, but that means marketing, marketing, marketing.

So why not apportion that odious task to our most devoted fans? It’s what the Vizier would do…

Here’s how it works: 25 Superfans will be given digital files for the entire game. Every building component, graphic, and the board itself. In exchange, you’ll print a copy, introduce it to your friends, bring it to your club or café or favourite convention, play it as often as you can stand to and smear your photos and videos all over social media like peanut butter on toast (the Vizier’s favourite snack).

You’ll also get your name credited in the final boxed edition and you’ll receive access to an exclusive Superfans channel on our Discord server, where you can share your builds and printing tips, your house rules or creative suggestions, and you can chat with us directly.

There’s no metrics and we won’t monitor how much you build or share. This is a gentleman’s and gentlewoman’s agreement. We do stipulate of course that you can’t pass on the files to others.
