Hall of Fame

This page enshrines the glory of Cubyria’s tournament winners. They have entered the canon of Cubyrian history; their likenesses will be carved by the Vizier’s finest sculptors and appear forevermore here and in the Sculpture Gallery. All praise to them!

First Place- Harry M

Our inaugural tournament was played by four hearty contestants, using a double-sized prototype that included some unusual prototype pieces and a Crane mechanic that was dropped from our Core Edition but will likely return in an expansion… After more than two hours, with the structure reaching over 10 floors, a contestant accidentally tipped over a large tower and it was decided to call the game. Is it a coincidence that this contestant was hoarding Bomb cards (another scrapped mechanic)?

At that point the clear leader was Harry M, followed by Celine M and Stephen H. The Vizier rewarded them with mandatory tattoos of congratulations.

Cubyria World Championship, 2026

Our second year marked a significant uptick in competitors. Nine entrants vied for supremacy over a semifinal round (3 games of 3) and a final 3, all playing the complete rules in the Core Edition. Last year’s winners Stephen and Celine proved that their victories were no coincidence, as they both triumphed in their semifinals to take their place at the final. They finished second and third, though with their places reversed from last year. We’re excited to stoke this rivalry by producing limited edition Team Stephen and Team Celine T-shirts…

The great surprise of the day was dark horse entrant John B, who had never seen Cubyria before, much less played it. He came to our booth for a demo, and when we told him about the tournament he signed up and triumphed in both rounds! All Hail John B! Enjoy the Vizier’s favour, for as long as it lasts…
